WOW,Barry, fantastic Keen Kutter. Love that sabre ground blade with the deep cut swedge! According to Sellens it would be a K72498, in the catalogs from 1917 thru to 1929. Based on the etched pattern number, I would bet it is in the earlier side of those dates, made by Walden. Charlie, Duncan and I would have to wrestle off to see who got to wrestle you for that one!

Landed this Schrade made DASCO Rockford IL harness jack. Very high condition, marked 928 pile side tang main blade, beautiful celluloid, not sure what it's called maybe butter and molasses. I'm pretty sure it's Schrade Cut Co era as most DASCOs were.

I know this is cheating, but I bought this Camillus 1961 Camp knife yesterday. It was very rusty and has a broken backspring. So, I decided to make a harness Jack out of it. I took it apart, removed the can opener and the screw driver blades, and this is what I came up with. It's a great one to drop in your pocket. I now have a new EDC. And as a bonus, the old blade sharpened up like a razor!

I recently picked up this R3955 Remington Acorn harness knife. I hesitate to call it a harness jack because the blade arrangement is different than all the harness jacks shown in this thread. It has some nice celluloid too. So I will just call it a harness knife.

Nice repair TOOMANYKNIVES. I have been known to do stuff like that. These forums are full of knives that will never be used or carried any more. An EDC knife for me has to be expendable as I use it daily for so many things. This results in lots of damage and loss. This is a great option. I wonder why such a knife built to withstand use by the military, so often are found with broken backsprings.

I did much the same thing, broken spring on this Forest Master, so removed the bottle and can openers and made it into a harness jack.

Thanks 3030. My guess about the springs it that those knives were rode hard and put up wet!

I did much the same thing, broken spring on this Forest Master, so removed the bottle and can openers and made it into a harness jack.
