Re: Latest Canal Street Additions
I finally landed a Canal Street with Dark Amber Stag Bone...been wanting one to add to my ACSB collection for some time. A Cannitler wasn't my first choice of patterns, but this one'll do just fine since I mainly got it for the ACSB. It's a decent knife...not as snappy as I expected from a Canal Street, which is a little disappointing...but otherwise, the fit and finish is pretty nice. The master spear blade is slightly off center and rubs the tang of the secondary pen blade (you can see the rub mark on the "mark" side tip of the spear
)

Scored another Canal street from the bay today. 2011 AAPK club knife. Lockback single blade trapper with whitetail antler handles. Super nice!

Thanks for the comments. Pics make the blade look scratched, even rusty on the edge. It is neither. I also scored from the same seller, the 2012 AAPK knife which is a CS muskrat with Elk handles. I would love to snag the 2023 knife but have yet to find one at a reasonable price. There is one listed on the bay for $600. He can choke on it.

I notice several references to "moonpie" trapper in ebay ads for CS knives. Is moonpie?

The full size two blade trapper is called the Moon Pie Trapper. The single blade trapper is called the Half Moon Trapper. Don't ask me why.RedRaiderRick wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 12:37 pm I notice several references to "moonpie" trapper in ebay ads for CS knives. Is moonpie?

Here's a nice 2008 CS Cheetah. Fit and finish are spot on. One of those goofy CS knives with only the mark side polished. Not the sharpest edge I've seen. New in the box. Amber jigged bone

Got this fixed blade at a reasonable cost from ebay. Sheath could be a little more snug for better retention

I scored this CS folding hunter. It never occurred to me that it would be the standard 5 and a quarter inch full size hunter made by so many manufacturers. It's a liner locker with fat mule deer antler handles. Came with a nice unused sheath as well.

Q, I'm new to canoes and only have a couple but it seems they all have a rep for being kinda squishy? Really pretty one BTW!QTCut5 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 02, 2025 9:25 pm I finally landed a Canal Street with Dark Amber Stag Bone...been wanting one to add to my ACSB collection for some time. Gift from a friend who knows I collect pocket knives and am a member of AAPK but apparently not the types of knives I collect
Not a problem though, I’m always happy to add a beauty like this to my random accumulation
Very nice knife and piece of AAPK history

That's the original club knife, the hardest and priciest to find.
