Case XX

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Case XX

Post by rarefish383 »

I was going through my knife drawer and found a couple pretty nice knives I didn't remember having. This Case XX is about 9" overall, in the sheath. Blade is about 4 1/4". Looks to have been sharpened by some one that knew what they were doing. The edge is very even with some flaring at the tip. It may have been one of my Dad's, just don't remember this one. When I first started deer hunting in MD, seeing a deer was spectacular, much less getting a shot at one. This knife could have been carried for ten years and never used. It would have been a special knife and only worn while hunting, one weekend a year. It's marked Case XX over USA on one side of the ricasso, and 3FINN on the other. I've had it at least 30 years.
