This one just arrived yesterday. Trying to fill out my RCC collection. Got this Congress with mastodon ivory scales. Simply beautiful. There is just something about a Congress knife that speaks to me.
Very nice!! :)

Thanks chickenman, sorry about the bidding war. I was glad that you stopped before it went to my max. I tend to get laser focused on a knife when I want it for my collection.

Thanks woodwalker.

Thanks Mark. These were made by Queen. I think that the Robeson line that Queen made is just as good as the Schatt and Morgan line. They used different scales on the Robeson’s than the S&M so if you want to collect a pattern you need to collect the other brands that Queen made. Colonel Coon knives are also made with mostly different scales, stag is the exception. If a person were to go after all the Congresses made by Queen or any pattern, it would encompass a whole lot of other brands to collect all the various handle materials. Something I might try to do some day.
Thank you, Mark, I appreciate the additional information. If you're going to attempt collecting all those spin-off brands you'd better get started, there's lots of them and you're not getting any younger! lol!

I just received this GEC 73 today. It is special for me for several reasons. It has nice stag, and it’s a trapper and it is a left handed version. I’ve been looking for a lefty and nice stag for so long that I’m not sure what to want anymore… it really scratched an itch.

It’s not a magic trick, and getting older beats the alternative. Not getting any older is a fate we all face. It’s when we transition from being seen to being viewed.

Here are 3 more RoseCraft Blades that I purchased from our very own Tony at Corn Creek Cutlery.
I think I have become somewhat addicted to this brand.

Not a bad thing to be addicted to, David, I have 2 of the models you posted, the Senator and the Tasia(?) plus a few more purchased earlier from Tony, who is great to deal with. He's like the Pied-Piper, he showed up and drew all us innocent subjects into his realm with his knives, as opposed to his flute! ::nod::
Very nice trio, buddy!

Because I commented on what a cool knife this is, Ridgegrass sent it to me! What can I say! ::shrug::
Fully operational and locks-up tight! ::nod::
It's a tiny knife for a guy who has nothing but BIG knives! :shock:
A mini-miniature! ::groove::
Thanks, buddy! ::handshake::

Cheers, GEC makes a fine knife. Do you have a picture of yours? I’m still getting used to opening this one. It’s nice to have a lefty but I’m so used to opening right handed knives that this one will probably stay pristine.

My copy is currently buried at the bottom of the pile, Frank, but I'll post pictures next time I come across it as I'm reorganizing my knives.

Great looking Stag on that GEC, Frank!

More beauties from Tony, David!

Mark, I had to do a double take on your photo - not used to you holding anything but a big ol’ honker! Neat - and unique - gift from Ridgegrass there!

Ha, ha, ha!
Many thanks, Tim, ::handshake:: that tiny thing is so small and slippery, that it was difficult taking the picture cuz it kept slipping out of my fingers, and when I was finally able to hang-on long enough for the picture, it was out of focus and came out blurry. ::dang:: ::shrug:: What can ya do! What I can tell you, is that Ridgegrass is a kind and generous dude and thank him one more time!
