Value?I just started collecting Knives

Post by MagicMikeD24 »

New member here. Just started collecting knives and ran across a few brand new knives. Looking for the best place for searching values of the knives. Best place to buy and sell or which forum category here is the best for this.
Here is one I recently acquired and may be interested in selling:

Great Eastern Cutlery
R7352 Remington Baby Bullet Prospector
Brand New

::welcome:: MagicMikeD24!

AAPK offers 2 opportunities for selling knives through our site; an e-commerce storefront and direct forum sales.

Here's a link to the AAPK Member Store Program https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/ca ... ng_started which gives you access to a massive audience of highly targeted customers.

If your sales intentions are smaller, then setting up an e-commerce platform may not be optimal for you which is why AAPK provides the opportunity to sell knives in a topic called Knives For Sale Or Trade https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kn ... m.php?f=31.

To sell knives in our forums however, you'll need one of our premium subscriptions which can be found here: https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/ca ... scriptions. Our Bronze tier subscription ($20/year) allows 20 items/year to be sold on the knife forums, Silver tier subscription ($30/year) allows 50 items/year to be sold on the knife forums and the Gold tier subscription ($40/year) allows an unlimited number of items to be sold on the knife forums.

Best of luck! ::handshake::

Welcome to AAPK. In addition to what Tom posted, here’s some info about values. Determining values on anything is a tall order for someone not well versed in that field, so being new to this you likely have a learning curve and probably some “lumps” coming in the process. There are no shortcuts, you have to learn from experience. First I recommend reading this https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kn ... hp?t=77592. Including the posts there about using eBay advanced search for sold listings only, of the item.

You can learn how to do it. Collecting knives can be fun. Making a profit flipping knives is hard. Good luck.

Also, just a fair warning. A brand new guy who just signed up, this is his only post, and all that was mentioned is that you plan on selling knives, will sometimes look like a red flag for most forum members. We tend to buy from people who have a searchable reputation. Not saying anything negative about your intentions, but it may help out if you stick around and talk knives with everyone for a while to help gain some trust.

Also, GEC knives tend to go at a premium, but these Remingtons made by them don't seem to be fetching the high prices like the regularly branded GEC

your good brother and you’ve found the right site - in these times of scams and dishonesty, everyone’s guard is up but that can be remediated with time. Continue to post, show pictures of your knives, get to know us and in short order you’ll be a seasoned AAPK’er. Welcome again!
