What is Your Latest Old Schrade?

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

I don't know why I never posted this pocket knife under this topic or thread. But, I'm pretty sure it fits.....
A little background story about this pocket knife. I purchased a pocket knife on eBay around the middle of November, 2022. It never ended up in my possession. I contacted the seller, he tracked it down and had it returned to him. The seller re-sent the knife to me, I DID finally receive it, AND the seller included this pocket knife as well (FREE!!). It is a GEO SCHRADE, one blade, one tang stamp, 3 1/8" closed (not including the ring or loop), pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp is the curved or arched style and says, "GEO SCHRADE (over) PAT APD FOR" The main handle side says, "Who's afraid of the big bad wolf" and has graphics of the wolf and the three little pigs. The other handle side also says, "Who's afraid of the big bad wolf" and has graphics of the wolf and the three little pigs. The blade does have a VERY CRISP half stop. The blade does have a WICKED opening snap. The blade does have a WICKED closing snap. Overall, this pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. It needed VERY little cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Picked up a couple of semi old Schrade knives this week - Schrade Cut Co 7414BT (my first push button Schrade) push button knife and Schrade Walden 307

The file blade on the push button works well - main blade just opens halfway - Is there a way to get the spring back and should I store it with the blades open to maintain spring ???

Got the 307 because never had one of the "Duo-Tone Bonite" handles - on the Schrade research page here it shows 302 but I believe it should be 307

I usually collect the Schrades in the tube but these probably be added to the no trade drawer for now at least

Ok so this one may not be too old but at least it was made in the states. I just found this one on a set of keys in the basement of my mom's house which means that it was my Dad's pocket knife. ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu::

Nice to see you found one of your Dad's knives!

The CH-3 is a darn handy little knife. Several years back, a flea market knife dealer threw one in when I found it on his table after buying several from him. The lanyard allows you to connect it to just about anything (with me, it was mostly hooked to either a belt loop or MOLLE webbing on a pack strap), but it's still easily detachable by pushing in the quick release on the butt end, which goes back just as easily. It's also not going to get dislodged like a pocket clip.
