Old Advertising & Premium Knives

Found this W.H.Morley & Sons, Germany, advertiser for LINZ BROS. Jewelers, Dallas. They started in 1877 and since they used imported knives suggests to me that it's fairly old. Snaps like an alligator. Skip should know. J.O'.

Nice Advertising knife Ridge
Believe W .H.Morley was a Camillus brand in the early 1900 s . They were known to be importers of a lot of Cutlery.

Thanks Skip. Wish it was a W&H. When I first opened it my mind set was Whitehead and Hoag and for a split second the W.H. (of Morley) gave me a start. It is a nice one, deeply chased. John

Thanks MB. I'm guessing it could have been marketed through Kastor Brothers. The covers are rather substantial, maybe a pewter-type metal? J.O'.

Added this one because I liked the subject matter, the classy looking lettering, and the array of "tools of the trade". The inclusion of what appears to be a Chief in headdress puzzles me a little. The stamp appears to read "Prentiss". Goins lists a Prentiss cutlery in NYC 1916-1930.

That old pocket knife has a classy look. That Chiefs head doesn’t seem to go with the tools of the trade . Maybe company logo ?

I hadn't noticed that, until you brought it to my attention. I took another pic, and under magnification it appears that they were detail oriented in making this knife and those would be the pegs used in construction of the butcher block. I included a pic of an antique butcher block.

It is just my opinion, but I think that your posted pocket knife, is more of a souvenir
pocket knife than an advertising or premium pocket knife. Again, just my humble opinion.
