That's a single blade Marco. I have one. Excellent knife. It's just called a Swiss Army AloxMadmarco wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 11:01 pmYep, it certainly is, rdnzl, and I like that, does it have just that one blade?Thx!
I have long admired Victorinox knives, but I like knives with only one spear-point blade, and possibly until right now depending on what you tell me, I haven't see any. Really like the grey color too.

Here are a couple that recently arrived, different sellers:
The Barlow is a Kabar 1013, fairly sure it is in the 1955-'65 era. Clip has half stop
, the pen is rather lazy.
The metal handle is a Schrade, marked SCHRADE over N.Y. U.S.A. marked 752 on pile side. This stamp begins in 1973-? The engraving on the pile side are the words New York Knife Works over Walden over New York, the pile side is the large factory of New York Knife shown in lots of the research about NYKC. The Schrade 752 shows up on the internet with different business names and such.

Thanks, Glenn.
A knife like this opens up several of doors, a search for 752's with other commemorations, trade it to someone who is into New York Knife Works items or a Schrade collector/accumulator.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
I had this generic no name delivered today. When I saw it on Amazon it peaked my interest and the price was only $20.
The ad says the blade is 440C and the handle is Nylon Glass Fiber. Made in China of course. The blade springs open very
quickly and there is no wobble when open. Currently has a very nice edge on the blade. To close you press the lever on
the side and that releases the holding pin on the pivot end of the blade. Just another example of those odd knives in
my collection.

Those are great knives for the price, David, I've had mine for a couple years and even though I don't carry it, I "play" with it regularly and it's holding up just fine.dlr110 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 10:08 pm I had this generic no name delivered today. The Chinese sites put etched logos on theirs as being either a Colt brand or AKC, including the Bill DeShivs Leverletto on the blade. Feels great in my hand, fires smoothly, and makes a great comfort knife. Enjoy!

I got mine off of Amazon, Marco. It was six dollars more directly off of the Victorinox SA site. $28.00 USD, $22.00 off Amazon.Madmarco wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2024 3:25 amThanks, Kerry, your close-up picture makes me want one even more.toomanyknives wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 12:11 amThat's a single blade Marco. After reading numerous comments about how good ROSECRAFT knives were, I decided to get one and see for myself. This one arrived yesterday from Tony at Corn Creek Cutlery. In a word, superb. The quality is impeccable. D2 steel, Micarta scales, half stop, imperceptible run-up: quite amazing quality for the price. While the shield is not to my taste, it is a very minor distraction.

Terrific knife, huh, Garry! That one is next on my list to buy, and the shield doesn't really bother me, perhaps try thinking of it as a ghost instead of a skull. That reaction to sinister/morbid sure pops-up on you whenever it likes, huh? Lucky you, it sucks me in every time!Quick Steel wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2024 1:58 pm After reading numerous comments about how good ROSECRAFT knives were, I decided to get one and see for myself. It's all good, Dog, I sure hope you realize I was just teasing you, big time, cuz your reply sounds like you think Dad is gonna take you out to the ole' woodshed with Hickory stick in-hand.
I've seen knives that didn't look "right" to me, but after an explanation they became clear, so nobody's gonna give you a whoopin', at least not over this, other "stuff" maybe, but not this!

It's not complicated, it's my description and added captions that made it sound/look complicated. With my government and my computer support background I have a tendency to do that when I write. Sorry
