Iman, I’m with you on the hiding country of origin, in violation of the law, the COO is suppose to be on products. I find it odd the Esynx would do that. They have a great reputation and great knives. I only own a couple but they were made in the USA. It is a nice looking knife.

I finally got a knife I have been keeping an eye out for many years. It’s designed by Master Koji Hara and made by G. Sakai. Called the female bamboo. I have no idea why female bamboo. Beautiful pearl inlayed between nickel silver. VG-10 San Mai blade. The blade contour follows the contour of the knife. Perfect centering and smooth as silk deployment. And of course, made in Seki Japan. Now I will be watching for the gold lip pearl version.
Great looking knife, SSK…. In bamboo the only male/female I’ve ever heard of was Shrimp… ::shrug::

Iman,

You've probably already conducted research on Reate Knives, but for the edification of all knifers, I'll provide the below link that explains who Reate is and the owner, David Deng. He is a Chinese native who lives 'in' China, but has his own knife business. So his knives are made "in" China, but not produced by a Chinese company, per se, like Rough Rider's are.

Anyway, if one wants to read more about this manufacturer, here's the link. It's actually a good write up. From what I've read, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a knife by Reate (David Deng company) if I saw one that piqued my interest.

Madmarco wrote: Fri Mar 29, 2024 9:26 pm As promised, Kevin, here's another of my "big ol' knives"!

This is a CRKT 9 1/4" Premium "Redemption" Crossbar lock that was designed by Ken Onion after Wild Bill Hickock's Aces and Eights "Deadman's Hand"!

It sports a 4.06" CPM MagnaCut single plain edge spear-point blade WITHOUT a nail-nick or thumb-stud, ribbed SS bolsters with the Crossbar lock button integrated into them, 5" SS handle with black G-10 covers and blank shields, a tip-up reversible pocket-clip, and a filler for the empty hole that the clip leaves when it's removed, which more and more makers are supplying with their knives. Weighs 4.9 oz.'s, walks and talks very smoothly, and bears a CRKT fit and finish.

It should be noted as to why this knife has no nick or stud, and it's because it can ONLY be opened/closed using the C-bar lock, and let me say, it will take a bit of getting use to, but once mastered it's very cool. Ken designed it this way in order to have the blade totally hidden when closed with nothing sticking up/out. He must have had me in mind when he did this, cuz I love knives that have that look. When one doe get accustomed to this type of opening/closing it's a whole bunch of fun, cuz when the button is shifted the blade falls out of the channel swinging freely until you flick your wrist and it flies into the locked position. I have no idea how this knife gets past Customs if indeed it does, considering it's 1-hand opening abilities, but I bought mine here in Canada so it arrived trouble free.

I paid-up a little for this fine knife, but seeing as I have the funds and don't really know how much longer I will be a citizen here on planet psycho, I pulled the trigger, and it's a good thing I did cuz it's sold out again already!

Received these 2 today from Tony at Corn Creek Cut . After seeing some pics here and there and some of you folks talking about these Rosecraft knifes I had to see for myself . Very happy with them ,tight lock up ,smooth action . Came sharp ,shipped promptly and easy to deal with . The tanto style will go to a friend who tends to tip a clip blade. Let’s see how this one fairs . And the skinner I may keep around here or at the cabin ,maybe my kit for hunting ? Like the way the blade tucks down in the well when closed up . Will have to switch pocket clip as am a lefty, another feature of the knife that I like .
Happy Easter weekend everyone .

Hello everyone, it’s been a long while since I posted anything. Picked up this 5 dot 6375 recently. Figured it would go well with the 5 dot 6392 and Ole Shoe. Stay tuned, have another knife to post in a couple of days. Hope you very one has been safe and done well.

Picked this one up on Etsy. Figured I paid too much for a little “souvenir knife”, but I enjoyed visiting Cherokee as a pre-teen. The build quality of this little MIJ Taylor surprised me.

That's a great little knife, G-351, and it's a style I watch for regularly, a canoe body with a single spear-point blade, perfect for my taste!
I've bought a few knives from Etsy, they occasionally list some cool knives, nice catch!

I won the eBay bid on this knife, and received it today: a Japanese-made Sharp 175 Barlow.
The tip had been bent and straightened, but not too bad. It is still in good shape, and will fit my Sharp collection perfectly.

Ripster, I LIKE those Rosecrafts!
Phil, awesome classic Case knives you have there.
Gtrclktr- that’s certainly a unique one you got there! Very interesting knife!
Reverend, cool Sharp - that would make a great EDC, doncha think?
QT, Barry always does quality work. That’s a beauty! And so is that Queen!
Eric, that wiener is something else! :D Like your Penas, too!

I'm curious what the "controversy" is about this knife? ::shrug:: It may look whimsical but it appears to be fully functional and ideally suited to its supposed intended purpose: a weenie roast barbecue picnic. I like it. ::tu::

Is it an automatic or is the button only a blade lock?
