Sorry, Ike, I didn't mean to single you out, ::handshake:: it was just that 2 of us had a certain specific reason for our liking the MAX, but you only stated your general feelings, although, your added comments today now make your feelings clear. More of that computer to real person misunderstanding.
BTW, I'm a sucker for those features too, but I'd have thrown in single-blade models only as well.

No misunderstanding my friend, it's always nice to know the "why" of someones preferences in knives, I should have elaborated in my original comments

That's a beauty, Kevin.

It looks very similar to the Interior Mammoth Ivory that Schatt & Morgan used on a series of knives made in 1997.

Here are a couple from my collection (the Teardrop Jack has since been sold, but I still have the single blade Wharncliffe Trapper with acorn shield)

Always appreciate your feedback Q! Those S&Ms are beautiful, and I agree that Wharncliffe Trapper frame looks almost identical to the 2601.

Received this one last week. It's in a hard plastic bubble pak so picture doesn't work well.

This isn't new, I've had it for a bit, but hadn't taken a pic until today. I don't usually buy a lot of cell knives, especially with cracked/broken covers, but the etch was so cool, I couldn't pass it up.

You had commented on mine back on page 1311. It came in a box, and I've toted it a couple of times now ....

I think Queen’s ACSB was some of the best looking bone & you’ve got proof.

Wow, that's beautiful, Tony!
When you say "ran into", do you mean you saw it and examined it, or that you bought it?
If it does mean you bought it, good for you, if not, I think you should!
That smooth black handle sure makes it look inviting! Very nice!

Thanks Marco! Yeah I could not pass on it,and bought it. Blade is like a mirror ... took some trial and error to get a pic where etching could be read. Bucks are my weakness.
