Today's carry has been split between two Buck 301s. The top 301 in the picture features two blades and canvas micarta scales. The bottom 301 in the picture features three blades and carbon fiber scales. Both were purchased new from Buck sometime in the last couple of years. I really do need to keep better track of purchases and materials...well, maybe not purchases because that my tip off my wife to my collecting habit.

With you on not tipping the boss off to your collecting habit. Certainly. Couldn't agree more. Much safer that way. And nice pair, I really like the top one with the micarta and two blades. I assume that's a single spring running them right? And not to contradict at all or anything offensive, but just wondered if that is canvas or burlap? Looks like big wide burlap fibers and threads to me. Although been wrong before and not to diminish the knife's coolness at all. Still a great looking piece. Makes me want to start hunting a Buck.

That's a nice looking Case, Dog, and it appears to be a worker too.
Also, your choice of background is excellent, did you whittle that pile yourself? ::shrug:: lol!

You are correct. It is burlap micarta, not canvas. My bad. I need to keep better track!!

JPG, I must be living in in cave... I have never seen those new scales offered by Buck, they sure are sweet! As a fan of the 301s I would say they rock! ::tu:: ::tu::

Here's another one. I love the lines on this blade.

3 more nice ones there, Dan. That's a very nice Imperial, great patina. Those SAK's are hard to beat too!

The Sunday toter... This is one I put together from parts purchased at The blade Show. Micarta scales, that I tried to make look like wood. And an old repurposed sheath..
