Missing Sheilds
Anyone else ever notice that so many Boker knives are missing their shields
?

Yep, sure have. Fortunately, they are very responsive and pleasant, and have sent me countless replacement shields over the years. I just can't understand why they don't use a better adhesive.

Yes, and the Boker-made Henckels knives are bad for this too. I've never found a source for Henckels shields short of cannibalizing other knives. As my colleague herbva says, at least Boker will supply shields for Boker branded knives.

except for the fact that at some point I will lose 2 shields instead of just one, if I EDC this baby...

Boker in German means "missing shield". But I still like them.
