Case Knife

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Case Knife

Does anyone know any info on this knife? Just picked it up at a pawnshop and am wondering what I have here. Can't find it anywhere online.

Welcome to the forum.

That is a Case Classic. Mr. James (Jim) Parker owned Case when these were made. He was the facilitator to the best of my knowledge. I don't know the exact details of how the outsourcing & distribution was handled. I think Blue Grass Cutlery was involved somehow, but Queen manufactured most of them & Case manufactured the rest (around 4 patterns at their own factory, IIRC). You can read a bit about them and find some info about that specific pattern on the link below...

Over the last couple of years, I would say they average around $200 or so on eBay.

My question is what did you pay? That is100% its value. If it wasn’t you would have paid more. What someone else paid or what someone puts in a book is 100% subjective. A onifeis only worth what Some is willing to pay on any given day.
