Just babblin' from what memory I have left, some of the Case knives were offered with a regular clip blade and there was a California clip that was more slender offered also. That may be what's going on in your picture.
One of the more knowledgeable folks will straighten it out I'm sure!
18s are great knives.

I can't be of any help, but there are some fantastic knives on show. The 6118 may well be a new unicorn for me!

Yes it is an odd variation - Case never cataloged the two different blade styles on the 18 pattern, but during the Tested and XX eras, both styles were used.
From the USA stamp into the early 1990's, only the "California Clip" style was used, but then starting in the 90's, Case started offering both styles again.
