Any Train Enthusiasts Out There?

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

You know I also heard a train coming once... ::hmm:: ... Unfortunately I was doing a 'lill "Time" at the time
::hmm:: I remember it just like it was yesterday...

I hear the train a-comin', it's rolling 'round the bend...

And I'd let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away
And in the middle of it, that oh so familiar greeting.... "Hello. I'm Johnny Cash."
::hmm:: That's right ::hmm:: ...And I remember it like it was yesterday...

Thank you!

In process of moving right now, went out and checked my new area yesterday during lunch - small yard where NS interchanges with Carolina Coastal. CSX also comes through this small yard with one phosphate train daily. Didn't see a CSX yesterday, but I hear them on the phosphate line. OH

Very cool, O.H!

My brother sent these pictures of a recent derailment in the yards at Cumberland, close to the old hump. Main was not affected, luckily.

It also smacked a power line pole that went down to Warrior Run, so they had to fix it today.

Great shots, John, thanks for posting, and thank your brother. Does he have to take those pics on the sly, or are there no restrictions?

Don't leave that knife sitting there very long, someone (like me) might snag it. ::nod::👍 ::paranoid::

That is an awesome shot! ::tu:: ::tu::

Stopped by the Rochelle Railroad Park recently. Here are a couple of pics of a 4 loco BNSF intermodal, and an old Whitcomb on display. The Whitcomb locomotives were built in Rochelle.
