Kids knives from the 1950's
Here's a few "Kids Knives" from my collection. My first knife was a L28 Western my dad bought me at an Army Surplus store around 1954. I've had a soft spot for knives like that and have collected quite a few. here are some.____Dave

Never would have labeled them as kids knives, dj- but you got a real nice collection there! Thanks for sharing! Still got that first one your Dad gave you?

holy cow Dave, that’s quite the sub-collection you have there even after almost seven decades of accumulating - thank you for sharing such a well preserved piece of history.

Dave, thanks for sharing that very cool part of your collection! I find the last one quite interesting, and don't know a thing about it. Do you have any info about that one? Thanks!

It's a Dahlgren from Sweden. I believe it's a child's dress knife they would wear when dressing up for special occasions. I don't remember the years they were in business, but I believe it was around 1900.____Dave

Great bunch of knives, Dave! A small fixed blade always seems more practical than the large "hunting Knives" some folks enjoy carrying. That may depend on where you live and what you do with the knife, there ain't no grizzly bears in Florida but a lot of small whitetails.
