Welcome here, Brewer 95.

In 1848, 43 year old John Clark launched a cutlery business in Neepsend.
John Clark dies in 1873. Six workmen employed.
By 1881 his son, Thomas, expands the number of workmen to twenty.
Thomas Clark dies in 1902 and his three sons continue a thriving business until 1964 when the firm was liquidated.
Apparently resurrected and lasted until 1980.

This information and more found in "Tweedales's Directory of Sheffield Cutlery Manufacturers 1740 - 2013".

You have a nice old knife.
