Case Bradford "4226 Large Peanut" Any Opinions/Thoughts?
Case Bradford "4226 Large Peanut" Any Opinions/Thoughts?
This Case Bradford dogleg jack (sometimes called a "large peanut") is listed on a small, local auction website. Sorry for the poor pictures. These are pictures that I took of already poor pictures posted on the auction website. It looks like the pattern stamp is "4226" and the knife appears to have the red "candy stripe" celluloid scales. I thought the pattern stamp for red candy stripe cell should start with "R", but it sure looks like a "4" in the pictures. I also thought that "4" was Case's handle code for white composite. Perhaps, this knife was rehandled with red candy stripe at some point? Any thoughts, information or speculation would be appreciated. P.S., the research information here on AAPK indicates: "The master blade will usually if not always be a clip and the second a pen blade.", and of course this one has a spear master.

Interesting find, Herb. I have nothing to add except you know I like those -28s, which are larger doglegs, and I wish Case would make more.
*Edit- did you check Sargent's?

Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!
