Beautiful shots of the desert, Dog! Oh how I wish I was in your shoes. And your post definitely puts us back on track. I enjoy our bantering back and forth as much as the next guy, but I'm thinking we should maybe do it by PM instead of side-tracking the OP's topic, don't you agree?

More great shots from you too, RATC! From the dry dusty desert to the wet refreshing ocean, how nice!

Wife and I took another hike in the National Forest yesterday. This Kerhaw flipper is what I always take with me.

Uwharrie National Forest around Troy, NC. Lots and lots of trails from maybe a half mile long to 25 miles or so. We generally do 4-5 miles on a hike which takes us, with stops, about 2.5 to 3 hours. Unintentionally went 8 miles one day, but that was a bit much, at least for an afternoon walk.

Not quite in the wild... but not quite tame either...
He refused to cooperate with my GEC trapper "money=shot"

Although for a second, I thought he was trying to take off with my knife

I must have good eyes Dog, I spotted that beautiful ZT knife in the first picture immediately, and it sure wasn't easy with all that lovely desert scenery around.
