That is sooo cool 8) Tom! If I were you I'd go with the wall mount, although it's currently just kindda old and rare, it wouldn't surprise me if someday it's much more valuable due to the unopened blister and pristine condition. I'd hate to see you trade a gold brick for a cement one! I may be way off but that's what crossed my mind! ::shrug:: Congratulations! 8)

That's a great first 07! ::tu::

Yesterday I received two knives that are quite different from one another: a Victorinox Executive and a Cold Steel Kudu.

Those are nice Dan. I've admired the Kudu's for awhile, but never even handled one yet, how do you like it? 8)

I handled one back in 2016. I could not get the lock disengaged for the life of me, and the clerk at Tops Military Surplus (Clovis, CA) had to do it. ::facepalm:: It takes a good strong pull on the ring to disengage the lock. The blade has almost a ratcheting action. Though it's big (almost six inches closed), it's light, and it seems pretty well-made. I'd be happy to get some more photos and/or make a video if you'd like.

Naw, that's O.K. Dan, but thanks just the same. I've scrutinized the pictures I've seen online so I'm familiar with what they look like and how they operate, just never handled one. I sure do know what you mean about your knife almost ratcheting closed, I recently bought an old Henckels hunting pocket knife that has a lever you press forward to disengage the tang from the back spring so the blade can be folded closed, and similar to you pulling very firmly on the ring, I need to press much harder than I have thought on the lever to attain the disengagement. 8)
