Mine too. I love the Case Buffalo and Bulldog look but they are too big so I haven’t bought one. The switch Blade addition seals the deal for me though.Quick Steel wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 4:16 am C-Wade7, yours is the first clasp knife that has ever pushed my buttons. She is a real looker. Beautiful knife Coley. I have that one also that I bought from Plumbob about a year ago but with different scales. . They are a modified version of the Ka-Bar Grizzly. The Grizzly seldom comes on the market and in decent condition costs about $2,000 give or take. Too rich for my blood. This Schatt & Morgan is pretty much identical.
This Grizzly is currently being offered on AAPK.

This came in this week. Turns out it's a duplicate because I had already bought one back around the 1st of October.
Thank goodness they are inexpensive. (under $20).

Yea, they’re green & black micarta. I think these were a Shot Show release? Not sure. I’ve become very fond of micarta as a handle material. Thanks for the kind words!

I’ve seen those Grizzly knives and the Case Zipper knives and knew they were out of reach. This Schatt is a great knife, I ended up talking to Bob , the one in his store was iron wood but he had a Leopard and 2 g-10 ones so I picked what I wanted. I compared it to Case Buffalo and it is identical, nice big knives.OSCAR wrote: ↑Sat Dec 24, 2022 6:45 am Beautiful knife Coley. My main Christmas gift was this Alox Farmer X & a lanyard.
Thanks for looking friends.
Add: Also recieved a bottle of DRAKKAR. Used to be one of my #1 perfumes back in my Army days. Haven't had any of it around here since 1993 because I couldn't get it here. Then it just popped up at the local drug store the other day so my wife grabbed it up for me. Funny that she remembered it & how a smell can take you back down memory lane. Felt like going to the disco after I smelled it.
Anyways, a little off topic.

Very nice Tom, I keep a bottle of Drakkar around also. It’s my main fragrance for over 25 years. I also like Realm. They stopped making that many years ago and suddenly it’s been brought back. Drakkar takes a back seat to Realm in my book. You’re right about how a smell takes you back. My brother wore Brut when he was in high school and every time I smell that I think back to those days when I was a kid and he was stepping out in his own car, that would be back in the 60’s.
I like that SAK, I’ve never had an Alox, but I like them every time I see them.

Thanks for the kind comments gentlemen!
Mark I'll keep my eyes open for some of that Realm but I recon my chances of finding any are about as slim as finding a Case Tadpole. Don't look very promising.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Channellock 85 10-inch Fence Pliers. At $30, a lot to pay, but I figured I needed fencing pliers to do fencing with. I tend to use linesman's pliers; and it's not good for their cutters to cut nothing but steel wire. It won't hurt Klein or Channellock products, but it wrecks Knipex.
The cheap ones tend to fail, a lot. We have several, and they are all crap. Many have thin handles that are painful to use once the grips fall off. Almost every off-brand pair tends to have oversize grips that fall off within a month. The soft low-end steels usually ding the first time fence wire is cut (especially if it's Red Brand, and not the soft off-brand Mexican stuff). We even have a pair someone snapped the steeple puller off of. I have Channellocks so old, they say Champion Darment not Channellock. I suspect these will last just as long.

Thank you Mark, it’s the first 44 I’ve had and what a huge and heavy single blade. It’s nice for a knife made 1973-1975 era
