Newly arrived Queen #11 in Winterbottom delrin. Always loved the slimline frame, and this is a really solid knife. Quite happy with it.

Great looking piece QS, love that it has a spear and sheep instead of two of the same. And great looking stag. Like those bolsters too. Congrats.Quick Steel wrote: ↑Wed Dec 21, 2022 6:32 pm This Henckels arrived a couple of days ago. I like to point out some information I learned from SSK. When Henckels ceased producing their own traditional folders they turned over production to Boker with the stipulation that Boker was to use materials and quality control that were above the normal standards of Boker-labeled knives. So one might think of this knife as not only a Henckels but also as the highest quality Boker.
This knife does not disappoint. Nicely matched stag, stepped or waterfall bolsters, strong half-stops. I think it is a superlative Congress.

Thank you Iman. As always I appreciate your assessment.
Here is another new arrival. This is of course a Whittler from a favorite brand, the German made Bulldog. The photos don't really bring out the rich creaminess of the ivory scales.

Garry , that’s a wicked Whittler . Been following those Bulldog brand knives and must say after handling a few am seriously thinking about getting a couple . That frame with that Warnie main is a great looking piece .Quick Steel wrote: ↑Thu Dec 22, 2022 11:21 am Thank you Iman. As always I appreciate your assessment.

Thank you JP. I think Bulldogs are, unfortunately, one of the best kept secrets in the world of knives. In terms of construction and quality control I think BDs are the equal of any manufacturer including GEC. GEC does offer a wider variety of handle materials.
I have around 80 BDs which are unused NOS. Only one came with the slightest bit of blade rub.

Man that Congress is beautiful Garry. It was one of the best of my collection. Like the ivory whittler you have too. Bulldogs are all so well made. I love it when I can get a few to sell, always impressed with them.Quick Steel wrote: ↑Wed Dec 21, 2022 6:32 pm This Henckels arrived a couple of days ago. I like this one a lot Mark. I will have to look into one of those. I’ve been kicking around getting an A.G. Russell elephant toe for a long time, but I think I like this one better. Plus it’s about half the price of the A.G. Russell and both are made in China.Madmarco wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 1:44 am This is the final knife from a recent order from my pal Jamie, and it took a real roundabout way of getting to me, but now that it's here it was definitely worth the wait! It's a Rough rider RRR015 "Hippo Toe", and if you can forget it's a RR coming from China and go out and get yourselves one, you will very likely be as pleased as I am with it! I'm positive I've found the perfect EDC in this little knife! 8)WIN_20221214_15_38_19_Pro.jpgWIN_20221214_15_37_55_Pro.jpg

This is another very nice folder Garry! Although I know little abut Bulldog knives they look good to me. There's a beauty in one of the stores that is really tempting me, and it has MOP covers and only 1 spear-point blade, just my style so a purchase might be upcoming! All the best of the season to you bud!Quick Steel wrote: ↑Thu Dec 22, 2022 11:21 am Thank you Iman. As always I appreciate your assessment.

Well Marco, if it appeals to you I hope you will give it to yourself as a Christmas treat. I wonder if your looking at that cattle knife. It's a beauty.

As nice as they are Garry they're just not the type of knife I would buy. As I stated, the reason I'm looking at the B/D in the AAPK store is, it checks all the boxes for me which is the reason I will purchase a knife regardless of it's brand. It was either comment on how nice your knife is or ignore the post entirely, and since I like to support your posts I chose the former. Although I am unsure of which knife the cattle knife is I appreciate the head's-up!

Unless I am seriously mistaken Mark, you will love the RR RRR015 "Hippo Toe"! I can't find a thing wrong with this knife! Heavier than expected, but for me that's always a good thing, solid as the day is long, it only has the 1 s/f blade, and as you said, far less expensive than others. I believe Jamie still has 1 in his store, and he likes to strike deals so perhaps you'll check it out, although on this one I don't know how much wiggle room there is. I would stake our friendship on your liking this knife, so you'd better like it! lol!Sharpnshinyknives wrote: ↑Thu Dec 22, 2022 6:02 pmI like this one a lot Mark. I think I got two more in yesterday in a order, with holidays here I’m running circles and have a big gun show January 7 and 8 so it may be after that when I get more stuff put in my store. I bet I have 200 knives to be uploaded.Madmarco wrote: ↑Thu Dec 22, 2022 10:08 pmUnless I am seriously mistaken Mark, you will love the RR RRR015 "Hippo Toe"! Always loved the look of a Bulldog, QS.
I just picked up this pair. Figured I did such a good job Christmas shopping for everyone else, I would go ahead and cut myself in on the action, too!

Willie, I am not quite sure what your handle scales are (micarta?) but they look very good to me.
