This is the final knife from a recent order from my pal Jamie, and it took a real roundabout way of getting to me, but now that it's here it was definitely worth the wait! It's a Rough rider RRR015 "Hippo Toe", and if you can forget it's a RR coming from China and go out and get yourselves one, you will very likely be as pleased as I am with it! I'm positive I've found the perfect EDC in this little knife! 8)

Everyone wants to kick down on the RR Reserves and wants to spread the Chinese government hate a few forum members tell everyone here about it when the word China comes up in any topic, but our government allows them to sell here, also they think they shoestring their manufacturing cobbled together with twine and chewing gum holding the machines together. The RR Reserve knife are made with high tolerance and QC is outstanding, if a American company took the line of Rough Ryder and set the plant up in the USA the same knife would have to sell for over double. And I’m guessing the same people that kicked down the knives coming from China would then complain that the knife is too expensive and still would not buy it.

I love USA knives well I buy lots of American made products but we would be foolish not to look and judge other products made from other parts of the world and evaluate quality and cost.

Just my $.02 Mark I am with you that is a fine knife and I am glad you like it.

Well stated my friend and I totally agree, but I'll bet you're gonna suffer some flack from what you posted. Now that's not to say you're wrong, it's just that every time this comes up folks get, IMHO unjustly upset. After all, are we the guardians of all things good by dissing other nations over their shortcomings, or should we live and let live by granting them their right to govern any way they want. It is not our responsibility to ensure good working conditions, fair wages, decent working hours, or any other complaint stated, no, it is not. I think we'll all live a lot longer if we simply enjoy the products offered by these nations and be happy they usually didn't cost us an arm and a leg, and always remember too, no one is forcing you to buy them. I truly hope my post doesn't cause any said upset with anyone who reads it, it's just how I feel about the matter. ::handshake:: ! 8)

Picked up this USA made Queen Copperhead #41 in one of my favorite handle materials: Amber Carved Stag Bone (ACSB). Paid more than double what it originally cost brand new, but since there will never be any more USA made Queen knives, I'm just happy to have scored it at any price. :D

A real good looker ~Q~! ::tu:: I'm the same way, if there's a knife I really want to own price comes second, and I'll stretch my financial limits as far as possible before I'll give up! As-a-matter-of-fact, I did so last night on Ebay where I bought a piece that was way outta my league but so beautiful I couldn't resist, but I did send a lower offer that he accepted so that took the sting out a bit! Of course, I'll post it when it arrives! Those are very attractive covers on your new Queen! 8)

I ordered this big brute from Bulgaria via ebay awhile back and it came today! It's a 12 1/4" oal hand-made unmarked slip-joint that has an unusual feature, that being a double-headed bolt for a pivot, not a pin! I think this is classified as a Navaja! Cool as cool can be! 8)

This Henckels arrived a couple of days ago. I like to point out some information I learned from SSK. When Henckels ceased producing their own traditional folders they turned over production to Boker with the stipulation that Boker was to use materials and quality control that were above the normal standards of Boker-labeled knives. So one might think of this knife as not only a Henckels but also as the highest quality Boker.

This knife does not disappoint. Nicely matched stag, stepped or waterfall bolsters, strong half-stops. I think it is a superlative Congress.

Wow, two beauties Jamie! I've followed the "Paul" knives since I first saw them, but then I saw their "Defender" model and I'm holding out for one of them, that is if I can find one where I'll walk away with both arms and legs! 8)

Thanks for the ::tu:: on the Paul knife, it’s a unique with the lock, I find it very nice on the eyes, and it operates flawlessly.
