Here is a photo of a recently acquired big trapper and it is only stamped AURUM. It is a name I have heard before but I know nothing about him and I checked my usual sources without finding any info.
This knife is made on the order of a Remington 1123 but with very nice stag. The master blade is fully serrated.
Is he still active making knives? Any idea as to value?
As always, any info appreciated,
Ray

I saw that one and have it on my watch list. I pretty much dismissed it when his sub-title said it was made by Bowen. I am aware that Bowen made one of these but mine does not have Bowen on it anywhere.

Hi Ray,
That name rang a bell for me and I found a thread or two here on AAPK about Aurums. I do not know if it is the same outfit that produced your knife or not, but I'd hazard to guess AAPK member Timstools would know if you'd care to contact him. I have attached a link to one of the threads that talks about Aurums. In that thread is a link to even more information. Hope I've helped and not just sent you on a wild goose chase.
