Has anyone tried an Ultrasonic Cleaner that is made to clean jewelry, coins, eyeglasses, dentures etc.?
I'm just wondering with the right solution how well it would loosen and clean all the dirt and grim.

I have been using one from Harbor Freight for years.
It works very well. I have been looking at some to upgrade.
I just add a little dish soap to the water.
Don't use it on celluloid especially ones with pictures.
Sometimes on older knives you may have to rehydrate bone, stag or wood.
Mineral oil for bone and stag, lemon or orange oil on wood.
Sometimes delrin handles will "lighten" up. Rub a little 3in1 oil and let sit awhile good as new.

There's several posts and iirc entire threads about using those ultrasonic cleaners for knives. Most I've read use lukewarm water and a little dish soap in them for knives, but I seem to recall a few using solvents depending on the handle covers tolerance for that.

I use a different, but similar tool to the GUM Proxabrush called the DenTek 3-in-1 Interdental Cleanser. I actually had bought these for cleaning my teeth years ago, but they don't fit between my teeth. '

Flosser is useless, but I use the toothpick to rake heavy amounts of pocket crud out before using the little brush. The little brush also works great on my Granddad's hearing aids.
My biggest problem is rusty back springs on the insides--what do I use on that?
