Two old Bulldog Congress

Here are two 1st generation Bulldog Congress made in 1984. Sorry for the size of the pics.

Very nice looking knives Roy. Are those Dated on the Blade Tang?

Yes,both are dated 1984.

Yep, those are celluloid - though I don't know which one. They are not listed in the books and I don't think they are End of Day celluloid. (well maybe ::shrug:: ) First Generation are 1984 stamped but were released in 1985. If the scales were End of Day they would be second generation using first generation blades and released in 1991/1992. End of Day celluloid was 1 of 36 made and replaced the purple swirl celluloid from the first generation. Nice knives! ::tu:: ::tu::

The Tobacco Congress I see in the picture is purple swirl as opposed to end of day. It is a 1st gereration knife. I believe if you will check it will be dated 1985 instead of 1984 and will most likely say english steel. Nice knife

Thanks for the info Tom, I was thinking (wrong) that it was to light for purple swirl. Thanks for clearing that up. ::tu:: ::tu:: OK and 1985 too, time to clean and look mine over. ::doh::

That would make it a BKC 330 and 300 were made.
