If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Future Stag Supply

Post by sunburst »

Hmmm the second one to the right might work for that custom knife I was thinking about...Hmmmm ::smirk::

This is something you won't see everday in Florida and I know I have never seen it...A quite healthy herd of Elk soaking up the shade of an oak tree. This picture was taken yesterday about 1:00 pm in the afteroon with temps around 95 and humidity around 92%. I was surprised to see the elk on this little pasture but more surprised to see how well they seem to be doing in the Florida weather...

Oh Johnnie you spoiled it all  8) :)

Really I was not trying to fool anyone, these Elk are someones business venture outside of a little town called Arcadia in SW Central Florida. I have heard that he sells the meat and antlers for a nice little tidy sum, but I cannot verify this..I have never known anyone to import Elk into Florida and was really surprised to see the animals and how great they look.

The sad  part of what you are seeing here is that this property has been sold and will be replaced with houses and strip malls within two years. Along with the rest of Florida...Folks have finally realized there is life and land off the coast line and the big developers  are in the process of buying up what is left of pristine Florida...

"Elk Wrangler" I like that phrase, I like it alot...I don't think I have ever heard of an elk wrangler.. :) It sounds like something out of a cheesy western we would watch on Saturday mornings as a kid...

I would love to the have time & money to raise some elk, how cool would that be..And of course hire you out to be the #1 Elk Wrangler in Florida.. :P

Thanks for the laugh..
