The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

I know that the vintage CASE 25 CENT knives are often discussed here. I just came across photos that I took awhile ago of the two authentic originals that I have in my collection. Posting them here for reference. If the one you are looking at looks different from these, please be VERY careful.

Thanks Steve. That’s a frequently counterfeited pattern as you know. Many of the fakes have two bolsters so are easily identified if you know what a real honest 25¢ knife looks like - a barehead jack (only one bolster).

Also safe to say any 10¢, 50¢, 75¢, $1.00, etc. are fakes too?
