An old " Rabbito " selling rabbits door to door during the great depression. May have some relevance towards the end of the year.

Cudgee, my best friend is a manager at a feed store. The owner of the Feed Stores raises hogs and feeds them with broken sacks of feed that he can't sell. Once a year he slaughters some of the hogs and gives 3 or 4 boxes of pork to each his employees. My buddy couldn't get all the meat into his freezers, so he bought a box over and put it in my freezer, and told us to "eat all we want", and that they couldn't even eat all they got last year. Sure is good! And with meat prices the way they are, a very welcome gift.

Great gesture.

Always see interesting stuff on this thread. Amazing pics. Lurk mostly and rarely chime in.

But been here 27 years and never visited the local weekend raceway. Dirt oval with inner dirt oval with jumps and whoops. Some many different classes including street cars, stocks, mini, trucks, UTVs, etc. Loud. Ear plugs required. Here is our little local track...

Fun time. Free beer (reciprocity between beer vendor and food truck I was helping), exhaust and flying dirt. American as it gets!

Greg, what a great set of pictures! I noticed something in the bottom picture, one of the fawns has spots that are in pronounced lines, the other has random spots. I’ve always heard the one with the lines is the buck. Never have been able to get an accurate reading on that possible “old wives tale”. Have you ever heard this?
Keep ‘em coming, take more pictures if they stay around. It would be great to see them grow in your back yard.

EDIT: just Googled the subject and there are studies that say the the little buck has lines and the doe a scattered pattern according to the University of PA. Well it wasn't an "old wives tale" after all.

Wow Phillp!That is something I did not know. She actually has 3 fawns but the other one will not stop running around in circles long enough to get a good pic. It's hilarious watching it run from one end of the yard and back again over and over. You can see it's legs standing behind her in this pic.

Summer on the coast can be steamy but we've been fortunate this year to have quite a few days of low humidity and clear skies. Here are a couple examples of Worcester County, Maryland skies.

After 20 years of welding, bought myself the best TIG welder there is, Fronius MagicWave 230i. Hand assembled and signed in Austria. I am running CK torches, but have the very nice Fronius torch for 200 amp plus.

Thanks Wade. Was a fun night of food, beers and friends as well.

Some overzealous UTV entry (only timed solo event) decided to go off track in turn 1 into the desert to get a good running start at the jump/ whoop on inner track straightaway after turn 2. Plant the grill guard into the dirt vertical. Fell ba k on his tire but almost flipped onto roof. Next lap they didn't do that, more reserved I would describe as, along with a change of shorts, I assume.

Here's a way we can go "green", recycling if you will, used boxes.
I recieved a knife a few weeks back from a seller shipped in this Hamburger Helper box:

Unique, I suppose, it got to Starvation Plantation.

Shipping label on the back side.

Then this morning, I noticed the empty box some cereal came in. What a fine target for plinking with a handgun or setting out at 100 yards and seeing if a rifle is holding its zero.

That's funny with the HH box Philip. I bought 6 or 7 knives from the same eBay seller once. (Back when I bought all those Carl Rader knives.) After the third knife my wife asked me are these all from the same seller? I said yes, how did you know? She said they all come in cat food boxes. So I sent him a eBay message and asked him, "So..., how are your cat's doing?" He thought it was funny. After that we chatted back and forth for weeks. He even gave me a knife for free.
