Recent find…Any thoughts or information?

I’m having difficulty identifying this old steel Case knife.

Common knife but those handles aren’t factory I dont think

Knife is a Case Tested model 62-5 with integral guard and likey had jigged green bone handles originally. I would not call it a common knife but in it's current pitted and rehandled condtion it would not have much collector value. It could still be a great using knife.

Well what I meant by “common” was you see them often. I had 2 at one time. Both had green bone scales. A friend now packs one of them in his hiking gear
