Case XX Carve Master 5" P-Bar Utility Knife w/ Tray & Box, About When was this made?

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Case XX Carve Master 5" P-Bar Utility Knife w/ Tray & Box, About When was this made?

Post by GSPTOPDOG »

I found this interesting Case XX Carve Master 5" P-Bar Utility Knife with Tray & Box. I don't know much about these, any info would be helpful. About when might this one have been made? I several Case kitchen knives like this, but I never saw the holder with sharpener and the style of box before. ::hmm::
Of course the IDIOT that put the price tag on the box at the Pawn Shop stuck it right over the writing that says "Carve master /By" and of course trying to peel off the new price tag pulled off the old printing on the box :x How stupid can people be? Of all places to stick a new price tag ::dang::

1950's. Case offered a few sets and individual knives with wooden holders that included a sharpening stone built in.

I have had luck removing tags by heating them with the Mrs. hair drier. Might not always work.
