Here ya go Cudgee. Both blades are smooth opening & closing now, and it did help the snap on the main blade. They are both sharp now. It also refreshed the bone a bit.

Unmarked custom built by hand 9 1/4" oal icepick automatic lockback with Damascus hardware, ebony wood covers, and extensive filework! From Pakistan granted, yet IMHO still really cool! 8)WIN_20220517_14_34_14_Pro.jpgWIN_20220517_14_33_31_Pro.jpgWIN_20220517_14_33_50_Pro.jpgIf you click on the picture 2 times you can see the filework better! 8)
Another Hoss of a Sticker Marc. Like the file work on the spine. OL' Paky Stan has upped his game. ::tu::
Thanks buddy! ::handshake:: I don't know that the builders have upped their game so much as it being an auto! You see these fileworked Pakistani knives all over the place, but it being an auto is out of the norm, not totally unheard of but few and far between that's for sure! The thing that attracted me most was that in the listing it said "Ships from Canada", which led me to believe things are changing up here regarding autos, but no such luck! All the details are in "Comfort Knives"! 8)

I spotted it in one of his recent piles he had acquired.
The tang stamp is about gone but with magnification it is obviously from the 1958-60 era. It has imitation Winterbottom handles. It still walks and talks. ::tu::
The Queen 1960 catalog calls it a Balloon Pattern. One of the other resources refer to the #56 as a Swell Center. It is 3.5" closed. The clip is pretty good, the 56 on the etch is still visible but the pen blade has been sharpened quite a bit.004.JPG001.JPG007.JPG

Good old e/o's hold a special place in my collection; something about a bare-bone, get-'er-done, honest old military knife, that hit's just the right place.

Excellent work, as always!

As for my fishing, the line is still in the water. I may need to reel it in, take the $10 off the hook, and replace it with a $20 to catch my intended target.

Thanks for the compliment, some of my catches from the bay need released... they are stinking up the boat, maybe good for next POS giveaway.

Got these two yesterday from our esteemed member of Kennedy Knives.
From Walden Knife Co. (made by Bear & Son?) a:
Stockman & a Trapper both with Walnut handles and Walden Knife Co. on the main blade of each knife.
Even came with the original boxes and paper wrap. Thank you Gary.

Neat find Dan and appears to be in good shape. I kept one in a tacklebox for years. They were budget knives but worked.
