Made in Japan!

AG Russell is a name which is well known among knife collectors. Established in 1964 out of Springdale, Arkansas; AG Russell quickly became the largest mail order knife company in the US and soon after, co-founded the Knife Collectors Club and the Knifemakers Guild by 1970. By the time of his passing in 2018, Russells name had been added to countless Halls of Fame in the industry for producing quality knives and pioneering innovative designs. The Russell family has collaborated with nearly every major knife brand imaginable; including Puma, Cattaraugus, Moki and even buying out Bertram Cutlery, makers of Hen and Rooster.

Like many AG Russell knives of the 80's and 90's, this knife was also made with the finest Japanese craftsmanship. It has absolutely gorgeous mother of pearl scales, with nickel silver bolsters, brass liners and stainless steel backspring. The 2" drop point blade is made from ATS-34 steel. It measures 2.75" overall closed length. Good snap on close, a little stiff on open. The spine marries up with the backspring beautifully when open, and locks up solid. No wobble or play. The blade still has the factory edge; never used, carried or sharpened. There are some very minor marks on the blosters and a tiny black dot blemish on the scales (see pics) I have not attempted to clean or remove the spot due to my inexperience. I do not want to cause any damage to the knife.
