I Like Knives
Can anyone tell me about Glenn Larson of I Like Knives. I purchased 2 cold Steel Knives from him last NOV. and haven't seen my knives yet! He tells me that the supplier can't get them to him yet, is this true? Can anyone tell me much about Glenn? The 2 knives I purchased were 1 Caledonian Edge and 1 Spectre. Now I know these knives were suppposed to be in stock at the end of Dec. and it's now the end of Mar. He seems to have tried hard for me to get these knives but i can only go by what he says, I am generally a trusting person and I can only go by what he tells me. Is this a supplier issue or am I being taken? If anyone has any information on Glenn or these particular Cold Steel knives please let me know. I want to buy more knives and would like to give him my business if he is on the level, but if he's not, I need to take my business elsewere. Any help Please!

I havent delt with him, but I did buy a knife from "Swapknives" on here. He claims he never recieved an $85.00 money order from me. This was a claim he made after I told him I had misplaced the reciept stub. Convienent for him.
I really like this site, tons of information and good people to talk to.

Hi kniflver,
I know Mr. Larson. I've had several conversations with him and I've had dealings with him on a few occasions. Everything has always gone smooth. I'm certain he would not try to pull one over on you.
I know first hand that The Cold Steel Caledonians sell faster than most distributors can get them. I've had an order in for some to stock at AAPK Blades for a while now myself at a couple different distributors. I'm certain he will deliver as soon as he can, and I would bet that if you feel uncomfortable with the situation that he would refund your money.
As for the swapknives fellow... I have no idea if he is a straight shooter or not. Never had dealings with him. He has had a thing or two up for auction at knife-auction.com, and I've emailed him about this issue, but that is as far as his affilliation has gone with AAPK.
Hickory Nut,
Have you tried to check with the institution who issued the money order. I wonder if they could do a trace to see if it has been cashed???

Hey all,
Its Glenn here. I certainly understand Gordon's ambivalence at this order, but it is what it is. I can say that I too am disturbed and overly-miffed
, as this order(s) has gone much longer than my distributor, the single largest of Cold Steel, has informed me numerous times it would. The fact remains, as Bryan has also indicated, the knives are not even in distribution as yet. A small dealer can only relay information and provide order fulfillment as given by the distributor. Gordon is in full apprisal and understanding at all points, knowing where the order stands at every follow-up contact. I have spent an unbelieveable amount of time advocating prudent order fulfillment and following up for this customers order, as I would any, and I have told the truth in each and every situation, all the time keeping in immediate and forthright contact with Gordon updating him at every oppurtunity. Gordon, should you read this and have any other questions, please remember, I have never shyed away, and never not returned or not contacted you, even when the news wasn't what you or I wanted to hear. I have already paid the money to secure these knives, therefore, we both must wait. For that ,I do now and have before, apologized in my emails to you. Should you require further proof of the current situation, I will do my best to supply you with a letter or some documentation from the distributor as to the same truths of which I have already informed you. I would however ask that you contact me through my email address and let this post speak as I think it would have been a bit more appropriate to either ask me personally for references, or show both sides of the issue. The vain of your post seems abrupt, our correspondance has been fully congenial and I have always shot straight with you. So now to find this post; one of my knifer friends informing me of same, all the while not hearing you ever ask privately for references, now to turn this issue public, seems adversarial. There are many members here at the site with whom I have done business, certainly willing to vouch for my honesty and trustworthiness. Also, if you will look at my ebay id, that being i-like-knives, this will further inform you of my reputation in the knifing community. One does not acquire numerous good feedback without some concerted work and diligence. No one other than myself at this point, would be beyond exstatic to secure these 2 knife orders and put them into your hands. Alas, I cannot change the manufacturer's distibution process. The knives will arrive to you the fastest route possible upon their arrival to myself or the distributor, you can rest assured, and take that to the bank.-GL

In defense of Glenn Larsen...
I have had several dealings with Glenn and have found him to be an honest man. I think that whatever he tells you, you can take to the bank. I can't imagine him cheating anybody.

Two Thumbs Up Glenn
Howdy All,
I've had only one business transaction with Glenn and was very satisfied, not only with the products, but also his personal recommendations for my needs. I can honestly say that I will place more orders in the future. I had the pleasure of speaking with Glenn about some of his products and he fit my needs perfectly.
Keep in mind that manufacturers will prioritize orders to maximize profits and sometimes we have to wait. I am still waiting on a Buck Giraffe Bone Handle Kalinga since the beginning of December, though I heard I should have it next week.

Glenn Larson
Just to keep everyone up to date
Glenn came through for me on this with flying colors, he tenatiously dogged the supplier until they came through with my knives. While my concern was justified it was certainly not needed, Glenn is a very honest businessman and deserves my highest praise.

I am new here but the first thing I was told to do is to get a cleaning kit from ilikeknives. Because I asked what is the best way to protect my knives. I received it very fast and he e-mailed me about how to do things. He was backlogged with work but 3 days after I received his cleaning kit he sent me a real long and professional way to use his kit. I think it was because I was new here and not know much yet. So I fell that ilikeknives is one to go out of his way to help other people not one to just make a buck. I hope that you get what you ordered but it looks like he does not have it yet. I do UNDERSTAND the time you have to wait for some thing you want hurts. I will trade places with you Knifelvr any day because I am waiting for a new heart.

Hi, Ken...
Keep the faith, my Friend.
I was told two years ago,by a local cardiologist, that all that could be done for me, was a heart transplant. My heart function was down to 10%.
We made an appointment at St. Luke's, in Houston and were surprised and relieved to find out that they thought they could fix it with surgery, instead.
I had what they said, was the biggest ventricular aneurysm they had ever seen.
A Dr. David Ott, did my surgery. He dealt with the aneurysm, did 3 by-passes and cut away a portion of my heart that was dead, from a "silent" heart attack, I had several years ago.
I had a minor stroke at some point during the surgery, but I think I have pretty much recovered from it.
While my situation turned out not to be as dire as yours, We still had to go through VERY trying and emotional times.
The medical community has made some really remarkable progress in the Cardiac field. They can and do, work miracles, every day.
If not for the support of my Wife Debbie, my Kids and Faith in my Maker, I don't think I would be here, today, to send this email.
Please keep us informed as to your progress.
If you just need to talk to somebody, please feel free to email me at [email protected] or call me at 1-903-227-1843.
