Well the second one showed me some good old Texas stubbornness. Worked my best piece of stag too short. Glued the scales & they bowed the liners. Snapped the blade in half with the you know what. Put in a new blade from a newer one & had to do some fiddling to make it fit. Pinned it & it wouldn't snap shut all the way - more fiddling - works good now. They are for my nephews - twins - collage graduation present. Everyone I do shows me what I don't know but it's pretty fun when they finish up.

Marvin - I sometimes think that the knives that give me the most trouble are the ones that are the most valuable. They teach me something, but more importantly, I have had to really "get down and deep" with each problem knife to solve the issues. The time investment can be crazy!
