Who made this Tryon ?

This 4-3/8'' Edw.K.Tryon/Philadelphia Pa. lockback was made by someone else, as Tryon were factors, not manufacturers. There is another that looks identical to this knife now on the net that is stamped W.H.Sample/Albany N.Y.

I thought someone may recognize the actual maker by the pattern or the forging marks as seen in the last photo.

I think I've seen these marks before, but don't remember where. Maybe the old S & M's. like the Chris Wolf, Crouch knives ?
