Need repairs

Post by roberts661 »

I've got a Uncle Henry 897 in very good condition that has a pivot pin for the double blades broken. Can this be repaired without taking the knife apart? Can I press the old one out and press a new one in?Are there any repair shops that do this? How many $$$s?

MM is right.
Your knife is made with a Swinden Key, so it must be disassembled & the bolsters drilled out & the blades re-pinned.
There several of us here who can fix it for you.........unfortunately, most of us are backed up.
