Prayer for my brother

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Prayer for my brother

Post by orvet »

In the past I have asked for prayers for my brother's healing. We pray with faith knowing that God can do miracles. Often I have seen those miracles but there are times when God chooses what he deems best and not what we would prefer.

My brother Dan is a Christian and has been actively involved and working in his church for most of his adult life. He has a rare form of a blood cancer which is now in his brain. It's difficult to watch someone who was so smart struggle to find answers to simple questions.

Pray that Dan might finish well, and pray for his family.

Dale I can't know how difficult this must be for Dan, you and the family and friends that know and love him. Because he knows Jesus as Lord and Savior there is that blessed assurance that he will be in his Heavenly home with Jesus when the time comes.

Because of his salvation he has finished well my friend and we will all sit down together with our Lord in Heaven one day.

Holy Father, in the name of Jesus we ask that Your will be done. Please grant Dan comfort and that the whole family will
feel Your love and grace. Father we ask for Your blessed mercy and that You will be glorified in all things. Amen.

Hate to hear of your brother's situation. I know, all too well, the familial disruption cancer can be. Your brother, and his family, will be in my prayers. Praying for that miracle you were looking for, but remembering that is His will, not ours. 🙏

Dale, I'll pray for Dan, his family including you as you all face this. It's hard. I've faced this twice with siblings, so I have a feel for your pain.____Dave

Thank you Tom, and everyone else.
I think we always face trials. If we have no trials, we have no growth. A weight lifter who wants to gain strength must challenge himself regularly with heavier and heavier weights. Without that regular challenge he does not increase his strength. As Christians, without challenges our faith is not strengthened. Without the stretching of our faith to meet each new challenge, our faith would not grow stronger.
Yes, these trials can be painful and may bring us heartaches and tears, but without them we would grow soft and lazy. Without the trials our faith becomes an intellectual exercise and not the glue from God that holds our lives together.

Thank you all for your prayers! I called my sister-in-law yesterday and she said he is not doing well. He's not eating and he's not drinking. That is usually an indicator that the end is near. Thanks again for all your prayers.

Thank you all for your prayers. Yesterday, my brother Dan went home to be with Jesus, our parents and our brother Paul. I was unable to be there with him because I am still in the hospital from a shoulder surgery. He passed peacefully yesterday morning after a peaceful night's sleep. He had lived in great pain for the last 20 years and even greater pain the last 2 years. He is finally out of pain and at peace in our Savior's arms. He is more alive now than all of us in this
world today.

Thank you all for your prayers which have been a great comfort to me. Please keep our family in your prayers. May God bless you all.

Dale,
Praying the Lord will comfort your family during this time.
Our comfort comes from the scriptures, those that tell us what happens when a believer is called home.
