It looks as if it might have come from the same factory in Japan as this Waltcraft of mine. I have not found much info about Waltcraft, so that is not a lot of help for you.

My guess is”Nippa” is a variation on Nippon. Which means Japan. Probably 1950s or newer. Aside from that I can’t tell you anything.

I agree with Ken, I think he pretty well nailed it. The only thing I could add is that judging from the silver and the intricate engraving, it was probably an expensive knife when it was made.
