I saw this Case trapper on eBay and was bewildered to see the seller described this well used and overly buffed knife as " Still has factory edge. Never sharpened, carried." I can remember when the word "carried" was seldom if ever used in describing a knife's condition and still don't understand why it is necessarily used. In this case the word is used in the most egregious manner.
As I often do, when I see a seller with a knife that interests me for one reason or another, I searched this sellers' other sales to see what was offered and found this Case 6275 knife that has a quite obvious pin crack at the mark, left side end pin (photos can be enlarged for better view). Despite this the seller advertised this knife as having no cracks. Subsequently the seller posted "I've have had a question about handle showing what appears to be a crack running parallel from end bolster through 1st brass pin. In looking at picture can see what is being stated. So I'm adding a couple more pictures to original post to clarify that there is NO CRACKS IN SCALES"
It isn't hard to see that the seller has posted pictures of a completely different knife to justify the "is NO CRACKS" claim. I have edited the pictures I have posted of this knife to show closeups of the same mark side of two obviously different knives so the comparison is oriented the same for easy determination. I sent the seller a message saying "if you are going to post additional pictures you should use the same knife". So far, no response.
The saying no honor among thieves comes to mind here. Buyer beware, especially when buying on eBay.

Iāve never trusted the ones who say, āSee photos for description,ā but Wayne youāve given a good example of how you canāt always trust a description, either!
