Whittling for a purpose. And for fun.
I live in the north where we get about six months of winter. That being said, I burn a lot of firewood in the wood stove. At night time in the winter I'll set by the stove whittling down a piece of pine for the next morning's kindling. It's a dual purpose activity. I enjoy whittling and I like having a good supply of dry kindling for a quick fire on cold mornings. What's y'all's story?

Took up whittling just for fun and to be creative. There is a subsection on the forum for whittling and wood carving, I have a bunch of pics posted over there. I haven’t whittled much lately, I’ve been having wrist pain the last 5-6 months, sometimes pretty severe.

I haven't whittled in years, but it is a worthy pastime.
