Bought a 6 pack today....

Post by knife7knut »

Went to an antique shop today and got 6 knives from the 5 dollar box.
A RAPALA fillet knife from EKA.
A G-96 Model 6001 lockback advertising DETROIT DROP DIE CO.
MKT110 REDHEAD made for BASS PRO SHOPS(nice quality).
RIC-NOR Boston TL-29 style electricians knife.
FRIODUR INOX(J.A.HENCKELS) gentlemans knife.
LEATHERMAN JUICE CS3
Does anyone know why the juice is so expensive? I see them advertised for ridiculous prices..

Nice group! Lots of great stuff! I'm always a big fan of small-mid sized lockbacks as an everyday carry.

I don't get Juice prices either. I have had the smallest model (S2, I think) for ages, and it was clearance from Leatherman for around $25. I wanted a larger one, and people wanted big bucks (we're talking $100+) for them. Well, 2-3 years ago--I got an XE-6 (the top-of-the-line model) for $30 from Leatherman direct again--and it took quite a few weeks for them to get rid of them. So, demand doesn't seem to match pricing. Personally, the quality isn't that great compared to a Swiss Army; and those are cheap secondhand everywhere.
