Equal end cigar

Hey all! Been a long time since I've posted.

Thought id ask, i was perusing the web a couple days ago and a nice equal end cigar came up.
Its a gec #54 with brown micarta. Problem is, price. Id rather not pay the gec tax. And suggestiobs on comparable knives?
I know i was looking in smkw and they have a nice boker.

I like a Camillus 23 pattern, and you may be able to see if you can find one that’s been rehandled. RoseCraft has a very well built one with a clip point called a Briar Patch Jack. It is Chinese made but very well built(Look up Tony: Corn Creek Cutlery on here, he is a RCB distributor).

The 54 is my favorite GEC handle frame. It is over 4 inches so, if SMKW's 3.7 inch length is correct, this Boker is at least 3/8 inch shorter. If I was seeking a knife similar to the GEC 54 I would look for a longer knife. Size is more important to me than whether it has a sleeve board or serpentine shape. Also, all of this Boker's metal surfaces are dull, flat or mate to save the expense of polishing. I'd keep looking.

The RoseCraft Briarpatch Jack C-Wade7 suggested is closer to a GEC 54 in length. It is 4 inches. However, it has two blades and springs and, in Rosecraft's style, it is much fatter than that Boker. It has not been made with a spear blade. Briarpatch Jacks are sold out at Corn Creek Cutlery and at RoseCraft. As made in the USA the Camillus 23 usually had pen and spear blades over two springs. Mine with light yellow delrin sides and carbon steel blades was a whopping $25 in very good condition at a gun show a couple years ago. The table holder had several to sell. However, Camillus closed 18 years ago and finding specific knives used takes patience.

Yes, ill see if i can fibd a nice camillus 23, then replace the scales with micarta.
