Kabar & Baby Seal
Pick up a few knives this week. Never seen a Kabar with this type handle, anyone know the pattern number and dates made? The top knife I got not knowing anything about it , it felt well made so I bought it, it's a Baby Seal model by Rob Dalton.

KA-BAR made a bunch of those knives with that handle. I don't know the model name of yours, most of my original literature is pre 1952. Your knife is early 1950s for sure by the Kabar lower case stamp and model numbers on blades were only added about 1969 but I'm pretty sure the handle design was over by 1960. There are some pre 1952 KA-BARs with that handle, I have several different models, all pre-1952. I also have one where instead of brass spacers it has white plastic spacers, same design different materials.
