Prayer request

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Prayer request

Post by MissouriGuerrilla »

Hey AAPK. I know this may sound selfish with everyone else's problems. But I am asking for prayers for myself. Without going into my own chaos, I am broken, tired, exhausted and hardly holding myself up mentally. I have debated on asking this for myself, but I feel I am at a crossroads. Any word of confidence or faith would be greatly appreciated. My name is Rich.
Thank you.

Hang in there brother, maybe take some time out for yourself. And ask away, that is what we are here for. ::pray:: ::pray:: ::pray:: ::handshake::

There is nothing selfish about asking for help/prayers. That's what places like your church is for. That's what places like AAPK can offer as well. We come for the knives, but the brotherhood (and sisterhood) is what it's all about.

We've all had our highs and lows. Choose to decide what will define you. I'm praying for you.

Good morning Rich . By reaching out you’ve already started on the road to getting better . Now keep asking for help and then make changes where needed . Get into the word and find a few local folks for support . Thanks for sharing and being honest. Will continue to pray for you .

Rich, thanks for asking for help. We all need that sometimes if we are honest and need to be reminded of that. I'll be praying for you for peace and victory in this battle. You are not alone in this even when it feels like that.____Dave

We have an example of a person asking others for prayer in the scriptures, Paul asked folks to pray for him in Romans 15:30.
You're on the right track, got to start somewhere. There are some fine folks here on AAPK that will help you through tough times, believe me, I've experienced it 1st hand.

Will absolutely pray for you brother. You might reach out to your county health department they may be able to offer a service that will help you, if you're a veteran the VA may give you some help. As others have said you've got a start by asking for prayers and help, we at AAPK are limited to good wishes and prayers in our little world but do not feel embarrassed or bad to try to find professional help. May God bless you and yours. ::pray::

I'll pray for you Rich. Life can become overwhelming at times, but God won't put more on you than you can handle WITH HIS HELP. None of us can do it all on our own.

Rich, there is nothing wrong with asking for prayer for yourself, in fact I believe God has commanded us to pray for one another. At our church I'm the one that updates and prints our prayer request list we call The Prayer Warrior and there are over 75 names on that list at any given time for many different prayer requests. We all have peeks and valleys, times of trials and many times we need the support of others. This is exactly what this thread "The Upper Room" was started for, to pray and give emotional support to each other, so you go on and ask away my friend.

Heavenly Father I lift Rich up to you in prayer right now. You know his needs, You understand his heart and Lord we know You can do all things if we only believe, have faith in You, ask for Your help in all things. Father bless our brother Rich, hear our prayers and show him what needs to be done in his life and the current situation. Lord may you be glorified in all things, we pray in Jesus name. Amen.

Thanks Dave. And everyone.
I am immersing myself into my faith like I never have before. I am leaning on the Word and I have found myself very fascinated by biblical archaeology. I watch devotional bits on YouTube and read sites like Guideposts and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Assoc. website. I have my computer baseball and Madden football I play for fun along with perusing the usual knife sites and wishing I had a bigger budget.
I'll admit..I survived drowning when I was nine years old. I was probably seconds away from death and I wonder sometimes why God let me survive. That sounds pretty dark, I know. But some days, I am at a loss. There are good days and bad. Just like everyone else has. Your support is very helpful.
