Knife stiddys
I'm considering having a batch of steady / stiddy knife repair anvils machined. These would be tempered tool steel built to the specifications listed in the Ben Kelley Jr. knife repair book. I'm gauging interest because the initial investment will be considerable. Price would be in the $200-250 range, machined right here in Ohio. 100% made in the USA. If I can get enough interest I will move forward.

Re: Knife stiddys
I already have one.
If anyone is doing, or considering doing knife repair-you should get one of these. There are none available, except during runs of custom-built stiddys like these.

Re: Knife stiddys
That is a better design than I have seen on many stiddies. That is a good price on it also. The one I purchased twenty years ago was $300.
I would get one but I have two of them already.

This is a very good opportunity for anyone looking to do any type of knife tinkering/making. If I didn't have 2 already, I would jump on this offer!

Re: Knife stiddys
New years greeting to you all.
As being without funds is a permanent condition for me ,I made my own.
The Cane railways sin my area are made from carbon maganese steel. That is quite tough enough for a stidy. I rough cut the facets with a band saw and then my friend dressed those rough edges with his mill.

Kaleb- you might try contacting Liam Clark about these. He probably needs one. He might not realize it, yet.

Re: Knife stiddys
I see what you mean . That would be very doable. I have to have to have some interest before I pay the
to have more made . But yes , that will be adjusted . Thanks for the feedback back !
