Praise Report

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Praise Report

Post by philco »

Here’s a picture of me ringing the bell Tuesday after completing the last of 44 radiation treatments for prostate cancer. I praise God for bringing me through all those treatments with very few negative side effects. I’m also grateful He put it on my heart to get a PSA test and that led to finding the cancer before it spread.
Guys, if you haven’t had a PSA test lately, I strongly encourage you to do so.
GOD IS GOOD!!!

Philco, Your news and photo are wonderful. I cannot thank the Lord enough.

May I add some comments? Phil's advice to get your prostate checked is so very important. Catching prostate cancer early makes all the difference to a
successful outcome.

There is an amazing tool called a Cyber Knife, although it has nothing to do with a literal knife. There are two of these offered in KY. I used the one at the Baptist hospital in Lexington. A powerful but very narrow beam of radiation is focused only on the tumor. Five 15-minute visits and the tumor is obliterated. No damage to nearby tissue or cells. No side effects in my case.

If you ever receive a cancer diagnosis, and it has not metastasized, I encourage you to investigate this treatment.
