eBay problems

The eBay fees are so high that I find myself having to price them about 10 or 15 dollars higher than I would sell the sale the same knife on here for. It's getting to the point to where it's not worth selling on eBay. I sold one for 81.99 and I probably won't get 60 bucks out of it. I wish they would charge a reasonable flat fee of like 5 bucks per sale and with the promotions they sell and stuff they would still make good money as many things are sold on eBay. The first time I sold something on eBay it was for like 75 bucks and I was shocked at how little of the price I actually got. Not to mention it you pay for promotion which varies but they recommend the promotion level of paying 12% of the final price. If I did that there would be nothing left. Is it only going to get worse until they push themselves out completely for most small stores on eBay.

I agree but I also think you did the right thing by resorting to eBay. You sold the knife or knives which is what you have been longing to do based on your recent posts. Mission Accomplished.

eBay fees do suck. I wholeheartedly agree with that but whatever your monetary intake was, you are that much richer than you were before the knives sold.

Take the money and run.

I can see where Ebay's fees can be frustrating. But Ebay does not have any meaningful competition that I am aware of, so they pretty much do as they choose. On the other hand, Ebay is very good at what they do. I find it easier to search, or browse, Ebay than anywhere else,, including AAPK's stores. And it is easier to complete a purchase on Ebay, too. At least your knives are selling. So like Rick said, take the money and run.
