Honey Berry Jiggastag with Fat base

That's the name of my new hip-hop inspired album that's about to drop

Actually its the latest from the weird studio. I received this already modified Camco electricians knife from another member as a bonus in a trade. The scales were a bit rough. Seems like there was a pith meets glue type of situation or something. As I was smoothing that out an idea came to me, so I ran with it.

My father in law maintains an impressive berry patch. My kids favorite berries are his honey berries. They've affectionately called him grampa honeyberry since they could speak. I decided to make this a gift for him.

I applied my patented screw ball jigging pattern via dremel and round abrasive bit to achieve the highly sought after ( ) jiggastag. Named in the long tradition of confusing handle material monikers.

Next I thawed out frozen honey berries, from his patch of course, and let my kids crush them in a mortar and pestle. I added some 91% alcohol ( ) and let them apply the berry dye with paint brushes. I let it sit for a few hours. After some clean up and sealing with bee's wax, I polished and sharpened.

The "fat base" is a piece of Florida fatwood from everyone's favorite flea market aficionado. I attached furniture felt pads to the bottom and two stacks of kids play magnets affixed with epoxy.

I might yet add jimping to the blade or try something on the bolsters.

They're not as well known as blueberries, but are superior in my opinion. These particular honey berries taste like blue berries with a citrus tartness to them.

Anybody have any idea of whether or not adding the alcohol to the berry juice was a good idea or bad? Or if it was useful or detrimental in anyway?

As far as I can tell alcohol makes things go better.

This has been posted before. Prior to staining try using Minwax Wood Hardener. It's supposed to open up the pores and allow deeper penetration. I don't know about alcohol?
