What I’d love to build is a searchable reference by postal code or ZIP code, so people can look up nearby shops based on where they are or where they’re traveling. I know some online directories exist, but they’re often incomplete, and I haven’t found anything that really focuses on postal code-level search for this specific niche.
Has anyone here ever tried to build something similar—maybe for a different kind of specialty store? I’d be really grateful for tips on sourcing postal code data, organizing it by country, and possibly linking it with basic store info like type, hours, or website.
Even if it’s just an idea of where to start with a world postal code database that’s clean and consistent, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
